ABOUT THE POSITION:

Buchwald is looking to hire a creative, entry-level Video/Audio Editor in the Los Angeles office. This position will focus on editing client video and audio content, including reels, scenes, self-tape auditions, voice-over auditions, sizzle reels, and other digital media projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of editing experience and be highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Candidate should have a background in video editing, music recording or production and have a basic understanding of Final Cut, Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, Audacity or be willing to learn. Experience with studio/audio mixing/sound engineering/podcast recording is a plus.

This opportunity is currently available REMOTE, in our Los Angeles office.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit client reels, scenes, self-tape auditions, and other video content
  • Edit voice-over auditions, casting sessions, MP3s, and other audio files 
  • Create and edit sizzle reels, concept videos, promotional content, and other digital media
  • Screen record client footage from films, television shows, and other media
  • Edit, mix, clean up, and version audio content while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Convert, format, export, and deliver video and audio files in MP3, MP4, WAV, MOV, and other required formats
  • Mix reels, sizzles, and other projects as needed
  • Organize and manage digital video and audio assets
  • Collaborate with clients and creative teams on projects from concept through completion
  • Manage multiple editing projects, changing priorities, and tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail across all projects
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
