About the Role
This role is responsible for managing the successful delivery of client projects from kickoff through completion. You'll serve as the central point of coordination between sales, engineering, and the client-ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to expectations. This is a highly cross-functional role that blends project management, logistics coordination, and client communication.
What you'll own
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating Projects
  • Ensuring on-time completion within budget
  • Conducting internal and client project kickoff meetings and closeout meetings
  • Working with competency leads to assign resources to the project team
  • Coordinating the handoff from sales to professional services
  • Reviewing the Bill of Materials (BOM) and the Statement of Work (SOW) with the professional services competency leads to ensure that the appropriate hardware and services are specified
  • Conducting client weekly check-ins and sending recaps
  • Providing a status update to the competency lead; escalating risks as appropriate
  • Ensuring that the time allocated on the SOW for the engineering resource is in line with the project objectives
  • Creating and managing a project plan
  • Ensuring that client documents are delivered on time and accepted by the customer; scheduling reviews as needed
  • Managing Equipment Logistics
  • Determining where to store the equipment
  • Scheduling and coordinating equipment staging
  • Coordinating shipping equipment and renting trucks as needed
  • Managing status of orders/backorders, equipment arrival and inventory
  • Schedule On-site Work
  • Coordinating site surveys and onsite access
  • Obtain Network Access
  • Coordinating background checks, fingerprints, and network access
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements
What we're looking for
  • 3+ years of engineering project management experience and be well-versed in what's next in multiple engineering domains
  • 2+ years of experience planning, scoping, and executing highly complex network infrastructure (layers 1, 2, and 3) engineering projects.
  • Must be capable of identifying existing hardware and various copper and fiber cabling, as well as developing a SOW to document tasks, deliverables, assumptions/exclusions, risks, issues, and to validate the bill of materials
  • Experience supporting multiple, highly complex engineering projects
  • The appropriate mix of technical and business skills as well as an ability to translate customer and market opportunities into solutions.
