Job Description
The AV Technician works independently and with other team members at every phase of AV, security, lighting and shade system(s) and equipment installation for Residential and Commercial projects with confidence and professionalism. This position is responsible for timely completion of daily procedures and project documentation. This individual should have a passion for AV technology and industry trends.
Job Responsibilities
  • Provides Project Manager with daily project status updates
  • Maintains Project documentation on a daily basis
  • Site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales and Clients
  • Completes quality control checks using Job Form
  • Completes basic one-room AV installations, setup and calibration
  • Set up satellite/cable systems
  • Installs and deploys basic networking/data systems in Residential environments
  • Applies basic AV network skills in Commercial environments
  • Installs and connects amplifiers and receivers
  • Programs and installs security and surveillance systems
  • Wire management for pre-wire, enclosures and basic systems
  • Troubleshooting for typical AV and networking issues
  • Completes Fusion required training and certifications
  • Adheres and maintains Fusion quality standards

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum 1 year AV field experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and organized; multi-tasker
  • Self-motivated, task driven, and able to apply "best practices" theory
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work 4/10 schedule
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight for training and installations as needed
  • Maintains valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts and at high elevations
