Job description

Job Title: Solution Architect - Data Platform
Job Type: Contract-to-hire, after 6-months on contract, at the clients discretion
Work Site Requirement: Client is willing to consider remote candidates, that would be willing to travel to Texas 1-2 times per year for team building events, etc. Prefers candidates in the local Dallas market, but willing to consider remote candidates. Local candidates will get first attention.

Interview Process: (2) Step interview process through video conference interviews
Added Insight:
  • BRAND NEW ROLE: they have needed someone in this role for a while now but have just now gotten the budget and ability to onboard this person - data is coming in from OnPrem, Azure Cloud, eCommerce, etc.
  • They don't have a centralized platform for data - need someone to come in and establish this structure, including strong governance, etc.
  • They need someone who can come in, understand their platform and the multiple places that data is coming in from, and to understand what certain business units need to get from the data, etc.

REQUIREMENTS
  • A strong preference would be for this person to come from current and/or previous M&A (merger & acquisition) experience and creating a centralize data platform that is retrieving LARGE amount of data from multiple end-sources.
  • This role will also need to be able to bring in newly merged / acquired companies and stand them up / bring into their standardized / centralized data platform and follow the established governances set in place.
  • Data Security is a pretty big piece of this position as well - establishing the standards / best practices, etc.
  • Additionally, being able to pull reporting isn't this roles 1st priority BUT taking into account that once the centralized data platform is established (primary function initially), having a plan for a standardized way to pull reports down the line is critical (meaning the system needs to be designed with all functions, both current and future, in mind).
