Job Summary
We are seeking an Attorney to join our busy consumer bankruptcy law firm. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, attend Court hearings, and update and maintain files. You will work closely with administrative staff, other colleagues, and senior partners to provide excellent legal services to our clients. If you are a self-starter with a passion for helping debtors, we want to hear from you. $90,000-$120,000 plus for the right candidate. Will consider attorney with portable practice for 

Responsibilities 
  • Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research
  • Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
  • Provide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associates
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records
  • Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants
Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam
  • Member of the Maryland Bar
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with BestCase preferred
  • A working knowledge of consumer bankruptcy law
