Job description
BASIC OVERVIEW
Custodial associates are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within the warehouse facility. This role involves routine cleaning, waste management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Custodians utilize an eye for detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness to perform physical tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the warehouse.
- Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly.
- Wipe down surfaces and equipment to maintain a dust-free environment
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables according to local protocols and expectations
- Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles, ensuring timely removal and replacement
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance requests to leadership
- Monitor and replenish inventory levels of cleaning supplies
- Organize and store cleaning equipment and materials in designated areas
- Assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events or meetings
- Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
WAGE
Starting Wage is $25.00/hr, with the potential raise every 6 months of up to $0.88.
Physical Requirements- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required

- Have a customer focused attitude and demonstrate a desire to exceed expectations
- Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours.
- Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policy.
- Complete and pass all equipment training
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office- primarily excel, word and teams.
- Business proficiency in the ability to read, write, and communicate in English
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
