Job description

Job Description:

  • Understand quality and purchasing within company specifications, goals, and objectives.
  • Comply with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; comply with internal ATI practices.
  • Support all 6S and lean initiatives.
  • Maintain proper training, tools, and materials to carry out his/her duties.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport raw materials to operators and back to the warehouse.
  • Safely and efficiently unload incoming materials from trucks.
  • Safely and efficiently load outgoing materials to trucks.
  • Assist in miscellaneous operations that require use of a forklift.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized.
  • Help maintain traceability with regards to LINโ€™s.
  • Report damaged material to appropriate personnel prior to signing BOL.
  • Lead forklift training.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of organization flow chart within the company
  • Understanding of how to work well with a team in an unsupervised manner
  • Advanced knowledge of forklift operation and forklift safety
  • Ability to understand and complete basic mathematics
  • Ability to deal with problems and make decisions involving several concrete variables in standardized
    situations
  • Understanding of production needs, including plant layout; must be able to plan the movement of materials to several different production areas
  • Ability to read and understand job travelers and pick lists
  • Advanced understanding of Material Identification, Measurement & Blueprint Reading
  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Required PPE:

Steel toe or composite toed boots.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to independently lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to eight hours
  • Requires frequent bending, squatting, and stepping up and down from a forklift
  • Ability to sit and operate a motorized vehicle for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in an environment without a controlled temperature
