Description
Dominique Dawes Academy is hiring a Senior Gymnastics Coach for our Columbia, MD location!
Are you an experienced gymnastics coach who loves developing athletes and helping other coaches grow? We're looking for energetic, positive leaders to coach recreational gymnastics, mentor teammates, and help deliver an exceptional experience for every child and family.
This is a great opportunity for coaches who want to expand their leadership skills while continuing to do what they love-coaching on the floor every day.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coach engaging recreational gymnastics and/or ninja classes for preschool through intermediate athletes
  • Mentor, train, and support newer coaches through hands-on coaching and feedback
  • Partner with the Program Manager and General Manager to improve programming and class quality
  • Help lead special events, showcases, camps, and gym activities
  • Support daily gym operations, equipment setup, and smooth class transitions
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized training environment
  • Promote a positive culture built on teamwork, respect, and athlete development
  • Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous gymnastics coaching experience, required
  • Background in gymnastics, ninja, or another movement-based sport
  • Experience working with children in a coaching, instructional, or recreational setting
  • Leadership experience, coach mentoring, or Manager-on-Duty experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and SafeSport certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Ability to safely spot athletes and lift up to 50 lbs.
