Job description

Position Overview
B amp;T USA is seeking an entry-level administrative Compliance Assistant responsible for providing administrative support in various areas of compliance including record keeping in accordance with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) guidelines, preparation and submission of various ATF Forms and responding to ATF trace requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to ATF trace requests.
  • Maintain Acquisition amp; Disposition/Bound Book records.
  • Audit and correct ATF required records.
  • Prepare and submit various ATF Forms.
  • Prepare reports, research information, and resolve issues.
  • Assist with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Execute daily inventory analysis; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Locate items that may be in incorrect locations, have incorrect description, or stock numbers.
  • Communicate with other departments as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of related experience in an administrative support role preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing and/or importing environment helpful.
  • Experience responding to ATF trace requests; auditing and correcting ATF required records preferred.
  • Experience maintaining Acquisition amp; Disposition/Bound Book records.
  • Must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
  • Basic knowledge of ATF compliance regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of firearms and safe gun handling
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Work Environment:
  • Work performed in an office and manufacturing machine shop environment.
  • Exposed to machine shop manufacturing elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to access and navigate B amp;T’s facilities.
Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to lift up to 15lbs unassisted and up to 30lbs assisted.
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, bend, reach and move about the facility throughout the workday.
