Job description

Class A CDL Driver (Local Routes) Location: Alma, GA
Where You'll Drive
This is a local driving position operating regional.
Schedule
  • Typically 5 days per week Monday- Friday

Essential Responsibilities
  • Safely transport finished goods and raw materials in refrigerated tractor-trailers.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Document and maintain accurate logs of driving time, rest periods, mileage, fuel purchases, and toll receipts.
  • Comply with all applicable DOT regulations, including size, weight, route, parking, and hours-of-service requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trailers into loading and unloading positions as needed. (Trailers are preloaded and located in the company yard or at the shipper.)
  • Collect, verify, and follow delivery instructions.
  • Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or mechanical issues.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Class A tractor-trailer (OTR) driving experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records.
