This role is vital in empowering patients on their journey to regain mobility and achieve their health goals. As a committed member of our therapy team, you will play a direct role in assessing, treating, and guiding patients through comprehensive rehabilitation programs.

About the Organization

Founded with a mission to provide unparalleled physical therapy services, Sigma Spine and Joint Physical Therapy is a premier rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Chicago. Our facility spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology designed to enhance patient outcomes. Our team includes experienced professionals dedicated to the promotion of health and wellness through not only effective treatment but also education and support.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our cutting-edge rehabilitation facility, which features modern treatment rooms, advanced rehabilitation equipment, and a supportive network of colleagues. The collaborative environment includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share your commitment to patient-centric care. We emphasize a supportive culture that prioritizes both staff and patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to establish individual treatment plans targeting their specific mobility challenges.
  • Administer a wide range of cost-effective orthopedic therapies aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and functional mobility.
  • Maintain a personalized patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring the delivery of focused, quality therapy.
  • Develop and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's unique recovery journey.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and advanced therapeutic techniques to provide effective, individualized care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously to track improvements and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Engage with patients to motivate and encourage adherence to their rehabilitation protocols, aiming to minimize dependency on medications and consider non-invasive alternatives.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily include individuals covered by private medical insurance who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our approach involves a thorough assessment of each patient's needs to enhance their quality of life through improved strength, flexibility, balance, and overall function.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Illinois, with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
  • Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
  • Experience in designing and implementing effective exercise programs.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Experience in patient education and motivational coaching throughout rehabilitation processes.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, employees will receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and professional development opportunities.
