Too many of our youth are facing challenges that put them at risk. Join 18 Degrees in giving our youth the opportunity to live their promise. Outreach Case Workers in our Community Connection (PCC) working with youth are focusing on the welfare of our youth, to avoid negative impact and succeed in their futures by identifying their goals; strengths and tracking progress; coordinating needed services; providing warm referrals, individualized support & advocacy; and facilitating groups. Working in both our Pittsfield and North Adams offices.

Required:

  • Ability to build trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the systemic, socio-economic, educational and; other challenges.
  • Informed trauma care and knowledge of gang culture.
  • Ability to meet individuals where they are. Some Evening and Weekend work required.
  • Build community connections and work as a member of a supportive team.
  • Interested candidate will coordinate with counseling and mentoring personnel to facilitate multi-systemic wraparound services for at-risk youth (ages 10-24) within the city of Pittsfield, MA.
  • Lived experience; multilingual/multicultural fluency are a plus.

4 years of Relevant Experience or Bachelors degree in a human service field preferred. Outreach and case management experience strongly preferred. Data collection experience a plus. Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office.
