Job description

The Club at Prairie Stone is seeking a qualified individual to work as a part-time, Member Services Associate. This position will promote The Club at Prairie Stone by providing guests quality service and information on The Club and all of Hoffman Estates Park District offerings. Member Service Associate will provide support with service desk operations, membership sales and tours, fitness floor and general facility organization and cleanliness.

General Administration

  • Follow building opening, closing and shift procedures.
  • Assist telephone and drop-in customers with registration, pass management, point of sale, rentals and other Hoffman Estates Park District activities.
  • Assist in facility tours and membership sales.
  • Monitor and maintain The Club at Prairie Stone for cleanliness and safety.
  • Enforce The Club at Prairie Stone rules as stated in The Club Member handbook.
  • Follow Business Department procedures regarding cash drawers and cash receipts journal.
  • Meet uniform and appearance standards.
  • Assist customers with facility questions and concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Customer Service

  • Treat every customer with courtesy, respect and friendliness.
  • Insure the safety of all external/internal customers and the protection of the Park District property.
  • Provide customers with accurate information about The Club and Park District.
  • Enter registration, pass management and pint of sale efficiently and accurately.
  • Monitor the facility to maintain customer satisfaction.

Days/Hours of Work:

  • This is a part-time, non-exempt position.
  • Approximately 5-18 hours per week, must be available at least one weekend day.
  • Hiring for these shifts:
    • Monday through Friday 1pm-5pm
    • Monday through Thursday 5pm-10:15pm
    • Friday and Saturday 5pm-9:15pm
    • Sunday 3pm-8:15pm
  • All shifts are split within the following hours:
    • Monday-Thursday 4:30am-10:15pm
    • Friday 4:30am- 9:15pm
    • Saturday 5:30am-9:15pm
    • Sunday 6:30am-8:15pm

Prefer High School or further Education. Previous office or customer service experience helpful but not necessary. General computer skills. Ability to assist guests diplomatically, handle conflicts appropriately and answer questions regarding Park District operations. The work week shall be designated by the Facility Manager as necessary to provide proper service and support to internal and external guests.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
  • Must be 16ย years of age
  • Ability to work with RecTrac, with training
  • Answer District telephones to assist patrons
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
  • CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days.
