Position Summary McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Traffic Designer I. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team on a variety of traffic analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projects for public agencies. Projects are likely to range from concept development and preliminary engineering studies to final design.

Responsibilities Conduct field data collection and/or field observations. Support traffic analysis and study efforts including data collection, traffic projections, Synchro, crash analysis. Support design efforts of signal plans, signing and pavement markings plans, and traffic control plans.

Deliver quality projects in accordance with accepted schedule and budget. Possess and/or develop written and verbal communication skills. Organized team player able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.Qualifications B.S

in Civil Engineering. 0-4 years of experience in the field of traffic engineering. An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is preferred.

Hands-on experience with common traffic engineering software, including Synchro and HCS (VISSIM a plus). Working knowledge of CAD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD). Strong communication and technical writing skills.
