Job Title: Ice Cream Maker / Chef

Location: Zax Creamery, 2603 N. Newton St., Jasper, IN

Join Our Team at Zax Creamery!

Zax Creamery in Jasper, IN is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Ice Cream Maker/Chef to join our team. In this role, you’ll help create all the ice cream flavors our customers love! If you enjoy working behind the scenes, following recipes, and contributing to something special, we’d love to hear more about you!

Hours & Schedule

  • Typically 3–5 days per week
  • Back of House position involving a small team of ice cream makers

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanitize and prepare equipment for the workstation before and after production
  • Follow recipes to create batches of ice cream using our state-of-the-art equipment
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately
  • Label, stock, and inventory all ingredients and batches
  • Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and adhere to food safety standards

Qualifications

  • Clear communication and willingness to work as a team
  • Able to lift and move 40–50 lbs regularly
  • Reliable, punctual, and engaged in your work
  • Experience as a cook or in food prep is a plus — but not required; we’re happy to train the right person!
