Job Posting Information Duties include performing moderately complex clerical tasks, maintaining departmental records (inventory, statistics, financial information) using computers and relevant applications, and exercising judgment within established policies. Position requires coordination and collaboration between teams department-wide, and ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders for best outcomes. Key Responsibilities Use computer software to create a variety of documents including reports, permits, and correspondence Serve as receptionist; respond to inquiries and service calls in person, by phone, or by email as necessary Update relevant databases and coordinate with other staff to create monthly or on-demand reports Assist with scheduling meetings, trainings, and other activities Assist during emergency weather conditions by dispatching incoming calls and using radio to relay messages Maintain departmental office records Operate standard office equipment Assist Stores Clerk as needed with inventory and parts delivery and pickup Coordinate with other administrative staff as needed for continuity of service Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic Familiarity with current office practices and equipment Effective oral and written communication Ability to make sound decisions within departmental guidelines Professional and courteous interaction with the public and coworkers Accurate arithmetic and record keeping skills Preferred Training & Experience Experience in responsible clerical work, typing, word processing, and record maintenance Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides required skills Preferred Training & Experience Experience in responsible clerical work, typing, word processing, and record maintenance Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides required skills Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent including or supplemented by courses in business practices and some experience in general typing/word processing and clerical work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.
