Job description

Responsibilities

At Brasfield & Gorrie, our purpose is building exceptional people, trusting relationships, great projects, and strong communities. We are one of the most respected and dynamic general contractors in the nation, and we’re looking for a Cinematographer.

The Cinematographer works with marketing, communications, creative, and internal customers to plan and shoot top quality video in support of marketing and communications efforts. The cinematographer owns the image in the field — camera, lighting, and sound — across a range of video needs, from executive communications, corporate initiatives, employee communications, highlight reels, technology/process demonstrations, marketing pursuits, informative videos, HR initiatives, and training.

If you work with us, you’ll be challenged and inspired, and you’ll be proud.

As a Cinematographer you will:

  • Enforce the corporate brand standards to maintain a consistent look within all materials
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to bring video concepts to fruition
  • Conceptualize and light filming for different types of shoots — interviews, talking heads, mini-doc, explainer, on location b-roll shots, or other configurations
  • Scout locations, plan shoot logistics, and build shot lists that account for active jobsite conditions
  • Identify the needs and logistics of equipment rentals for various shoots
  • Operate a camera, set up lighting, mic talent, confirm sound and picture quality, listen for audio interference or quality issues
  • Own camera settings, exposure, and color pipeline so footage arrives in post ready to grade to a consistent look
  • Track and correct technical glitches on the fly, adjust lighting, and directing talent
  • Work with a variety of on-camera talent, from technical subject matter experts to c-suite executives
  • Operate specialty equipment including gimbal, drone, slider, and time-lapse systems
  • Maintain, inventory, and troubleshoot camera, lighting, grip, and audio equipment
  • Follow and enforce jobsite safety requirements, including required PPE, on every shoot
  • Develop engaging motion graphics that support or encompass video messaging
  • Edit selects, rough cuts, and short-form pieces from your own footage
  • Color correct and grade raw footage to a consistent professional standard
  • Support photography of events and projects
  • Create and maintain an organized project file structure, including ingest and backup of media in the field
  • Catalogue and organize completed media to be accessible by the larger organization
  • Support creation of video assets and digital projects, such as company apps, website, intranet, and digital signage
  • Champion Brasfield & Gorrie company culture
