Job description

Astrophysics Inc. is a global leader in X-Ray security inspection systems, dedicated since 2002 to making the world safer through advanced screening technology. Our systems protect critical infrastructure in over 150 countries, serving airports, government buildings, military bases, and more. We are a fast-growing, dynamic company seeking a Warehouse Clerk to join our headquarters in City of Industry, CA. This position is temporary with the opportunity for permanent employment.
Job Summary:
A Warehouse Clerk is responsible for processing orders, accepting deliveries, and keeping the warehouse organized. Daily responsibilities include physically moving product around the warehouse area to properly maintaining all inventory and receiving records. The warehouse clerk is also required to manage any administrative and clerical details necessary to keep the warehouse running smoothly.
Essential Functions:
  • Process and pull orders as needed
  • Inspect all orders being received, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items
  • Update Inventory Report on a daily basis with receipts and transfers of materials
  • Reports to warehouse supervisor or management to alert them of any issues with receiving
  • Kit mechanical and electrical parts with minimum supervision
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure optimum quality and efficiency
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Commitment to punctuality and attendance
  • Working knowledge of components and Operations processes
  • Restock returns from Production
  • Obtain Forklift certification and training
  • Unload Trucks using Forklift
  • Maintain Inventory count accuracy
  • Support production shortages and replacement parts
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Maintaining a clean warehouse working environment
  • Good knowledge of picking sheets and level 1 BOM's
  • Perform accurate daily cycle counts and reports

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in a warehouse
  • Certified Forklift Driver (preferred)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • (Hours subject to change depending on the needs of the business.)
