Job description

Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, and Basecamp Fitness, is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Purpose Brands team. This is a great position for someone who is looking to expand their career, and join a company with a fun, fast-paced and inspirational culture.
Develop, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain data ingestion pipelines to transform raw data into modeled datasets and provide meaningful business information. Use data integration processes to ensure data is available for analysis and reporting. May perform additional duties that are similar and consistent with stated position requirements.


Strengths and Background

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or closely related field plus 1 year of experience. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

  • One or more of the following cloud-based data engineering tool stacks: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
  • Writing highly optimized and efficient SQL
  • Working in a cloud-based data warehouse
  • Building data models for analytical use cases
  • Processing large volumes of data in big data environments
  • One or more of the following DAG orchestration tools: Airflow, Astronomer, Dagster
  • Implementing DBT procedures
  • One or more of the following programming languages: Python, Java

Telecommuting permitted no more than 1 day per week.

Salary Range: $144,047 to $150,000
