Assurance Associates are entry-level professionals who support audit and assurance services within accounting or consulting firms. Their work helps clients achieve transparency and build trust with stakeholders. Assurance Associates typically work under the supervision of senior auditors and gain valuable experience toward becoming Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an assurance associate?

To thrive as an Assurance Associate, you generally need a strong background in accounting or finance, analytical skills, and a relevant degree such as a bachelor's in accounting, often supported by progress toward a CPA certification. Familiarity with auditing software, Excel, and ERP systems like SAP is typically required.
