Job description

McLaughlin Research Corp. has an opening for an EMC Engineering Technician. This role will serve to primarily support the Principal Engineer overseeing the EMC program. Assist Engineer with Troubleshooting submarine CASREPS and SUBs casualty messages Assist Engineer with EMI testing and troubleshooting teams on U.S. submarines, dockside and at sea. Perform MIL-STD-461 EMC testing on submarine equipment. Build EMI-hardened test kits for submarine sonar and communications. Assist Engineer with ensuring effective coordination of dockside and shipyard project activities Assist Engineer with development of presentations, test reports, trip reports, and other EMC documentation. Job Requirements Applicant will be required to work as part of a team tasked to assemble, install and operate complex mechanical components in support of operational, performance and qualification testing. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus. The applicant must be eligible for a security clearance up to and including Secret level.
