Pediatrician Position
Ballad Health Medical Associates is actively looking for a Board-Certified Pediatrician to serve as Core Faculty within the Dr. S. Hughes Melton Family Medicine Residency Program (est. 2015) at the 116-bed Johnston Memorial Hospital in historic Abingdon, VA.
This faculty role blends resident teaching, curriculum development, clinical supervision, and direct patient care. The program values physicians who embrace full-scope family medicine, enjoy working in multiple care settings, and are deeply committed to graduate medical education.
Job responsibilities include:
- Resident supervision in clinic and hospital settings
- Participation in faculty meetings, candidate interviews, and curriculum development
- Engagement in scholarly activities and program research
- Direct patient care with opportunities to practice full-spectrum pediatrics
