Title: Adjunct Faculty-Chemical Engineering Technology

Campus Location: Roane State Community College -Oak Ridge, TN

Job Summary

Teach one or several courses in chemical engineering technology classes, including lecture and lab. Courses are at a very basic level, with only minimal prior knowledge of chemistry or mathematics expected of students. Some classes meet in the evenings, some meet during the day, and some meet on Saturdays.
Courses may include:
Industrial Equipment
Technical Calculations
Process Equipment
Process Operations
Process Control and Instrumentation
Quality and Inspection
Industrial Safety (OSHA Instructor Qualification required)
Other related courses

Job Duties

  • 100% - Teach one or several courses in chemical engineering technology classes, including lecture and lab. - (Essential)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering Technology, or similar field. An Associate degree in these fields in conjunction with relevant professional experience is also acceptable for some courses.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in suitable engineering discipline.
