Laboratory Technician B
This is a seasonal position with an anticipated end date of February 28th 2027 with the possibility of extension. Please note, weekend availability will be required for this role. 
Duties:

  • Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutions
  • Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal
  • Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments
  • Compile, verify and validate accurate data records
  • Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications
  • Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Report results
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Experience with GC/MS/FID, IC, ICP, Microtox is an asset
  • Technical Diploma/degree in Science or equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of full laboratory processes
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently
