Principal Associate - Accounting, Agile Pod

We are seeking a highly motivated accountant to join the Controllers Group as a Principal Accounting Associate with a focus on agile project execution. You will be a self-starter responsible for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. The Controllers Group supports the financial implementation of new products, services, and systems with countless opportunities for knowledge growth.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as the main point of contact and own various projects in pipeline from the planning phase through delivery and stabilization

  • Lead and assist in the development, testing and implementation of project requirements

  • Collaborate with several teams across the organization on the Enterprise Wide Initiative payments initiatives and Branded Card programs

  • Facilitate the consistent use of the Agile methodology for delivering projects

  • Present results, findings, risks and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders

  • Contribute to Process Improvement through project development and knowledge sharing with a well governed mindset

  • Participate in key corporate projects such as technology and data transformation, process improvement, and business initiatives

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and stay connected on process or product changes

  • Demonstrate ability to maintain effectiveness in constantly changing environment

  • Ability to apply integrative thinking in complex situations, identify issues and propose solutions

  • Demonstrate analytical skills and ability to integrate information from different sources to solve problems and improve processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting OR audit OR finance OR a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

  • 4+ years of experience driving projects in Accounting

Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $120,800 - $137,900 for Principal Associate, Accounting


Richmond, VA: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Accounting


Wilmington, DE: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Accounting









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
