Job description

Join the team at Associated Terminals, a global leader in cargo handling known for our commitment to safety, efficiency, and expertise. We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Forklift Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment, primarily industrial forklifts (30,000-50,000 lbs.), in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain assigned heavy equipment, primarily forklifts, man lifts, and loaders, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
  • Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in deck and warehouse operations as necessary, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
  • Conduct quality inspections of various cargoes and record production information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Transload cargo to and from truck/rail/vessel/barge by marks and count, demonstrating attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Support company safety initiatives and adhere to all operational directives and company policies, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience in a maritime/stevedoring environment (preferred).
  • Experience in cargo transportation (preferred).
  • Ability to safely operate assigned equipment and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in clerical skills, record keeping, and equipment operations.
  • Must possess a TWIC Card.
