TRAILHEADS ASSOCIATE - Part-Time (this is a temporary seasonal position through October only)
Summary of Position:
You will be working at Trailheads, located in the Starved Rock Visitor Center, preparing and serving lunch and snack items such as soft pretzels, corn dogs, nachos, and sweet treats.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Retail Supervisor and Retail Lead in ensuring that food items are prepared and served according to recipes, Company standards, and safe food handling procedures.
  • Provide exceptional guest service.
  • Clean and maintain all assigned areas throughout shift, stocking, and preparing food.
  • Work individually and with the team in an efficient, motivated, and positive manner.
  • Complete all required food and safety logs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to Company cash handling procedures.
  • Understand Company's environmental and quality commitments and systems.
  • Follow all health and safety standards, policies, and initiatives.
  • Complete assigned duties, checklists, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements amp; Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to handle general math
  • Knowledge of food preparation, storage, sanitation, and commercial kitchen equipment (grill, fryer, ice cream machine, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse customer base in a positive and productive way.
  • Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time and be in a fast-paced environment in close proximity to other people.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting will be required.
  • Availability to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts

Pay Range: $15.00
