This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of our Phoenix office.

Silicon Valley Bank’s Global Fund Banking (GFB) Team provides commercial banking services to venture capital and private equity firms.  The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of loan advances and paydowns as well as compliance reporting documentation review.  

This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of private equity clients, focusing on the delivery and maintenance of traditional banking products such as deposits and credit cards. The Associate acts as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring high levels of service and identifying opportunities for product expansion. This role supports the Director in executing portfolio strategies, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring the accurate processing of client requests in a high-volume environment.


Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management - Serves as the daily point of contact for a large roster of small business clients. Addresses inquiries regarding deposit accounts and credit card services. Conducts regular outreach to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Ensures service delivery aligns with the broader Global Fund Banking business plan.
  • Portfolio Administration & Support - Handles the administrative requirements for account opening, credit card applications, and treasury service setups. Ensures all client documentation is accurate and submitted within established timelines.
  • Compliance & Risk Mitigation - Adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal bank policies. Monitors accounts for unusual activity and ensures Know Your Customer (KYC) data is current for all assigned clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Financial Services, Commercial Banking OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience 

Preferred Area of Experience:

  • Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, Private Equity and Venture Capital
  • High-volume client management
  • Deposit operations
  • General understanding of Private Equity and Venture Capital private market investment options
