Your Opportunity + Impact
The Designer applies foundational to intermediate engineering and/or landscape architecture principles to perform design calculations, prepare technical reports, and develop design plans and details. This role may also contribute to minor project decisions under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Utilizes software such as CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, InRoads, SketchUp, Photoshop, and other discipline-specific programs to produce accurate, high-quality design drawings.
  • Reviews work for accuracy, incorporates redline corrections, and performs backchecks to ensure precision and compliance with project standards.
  • Prepares and reviews specifications, evaluates submittals, and coordinates project documentation and submissions.
  • Coordinates the development of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets, collaborating with technical, administrative, and design staff as required.
  • Promotes and adheres to quality assurance and quality control processes to enhance deliverable quality and minimize design errors and omissions.
  • Researches, interprets, and applies applicable design standards, regulations, codes, and permitting requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Independently develops standard project details under direction and ensures consistency across deliverables.
  • Reviews shop and working drawings submitted by contractors to verify technical accuracy and adherence to design intent.
  • Assists in performing design calculations, quantity takeoffs, technical specifications, and cost estimates to support project development.

Education and Experience
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years' job-related experience.
  • Licensure/Certification: n/a

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to expand knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the field.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and/or Hydrologic and Hydraulic Software Packages to be used for Site Layout, Grading, Utility, and Storm Water Management Plan design and/or other discipline-specific programs preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team.
