  • Assist with cybersecurity-related activities and infrastructure security.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including system configurations, issues, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions.
  • Develop and utilize scripting to improve administration, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and identify opportunities to improve infrastructure and IT processes.

  • Travel to other Hammond Lumber locations and provide after-hours support when required.
  • Perform other IT and infrastructure-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Culture

Hammond Lumber Company is looking for someone who is versatile, collaborative, and comfortable working across multiple areas of IT. The ideal person is not overly opinionated, enjoys working with others, has a good sense of humor, and brings broad technical knowledge to the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants stability and meaningful ownership without feeling like a small cog in a large corporate IT organization.

The Systems Administrator will have the opportunity to take ownership of real infrastructure challenges, solve business-critical problems, improve processes, and directly see the impact of their work across the organization.
