Budget Planning Operations Analyst Arizona State University Campus: Tempe JR123344 End Date: August 10, 2026 Apply before 11:59 PM Arizona time the day before the posted End Date. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Job Profile Summary: Performs simple financial analysis, reporting, and systems development in support of other financial activities within the institution. Performs commitment analysis, variance analysis (actual vs budget); revenue and expense projections/forecasts. May have interactions outside department, as functionally required. Job Description: Position Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience As Budget Planning and Operations Analyst, you serve as budget liaison to assigned administrative/Vice President (“VP”) units or academic units, supporting chief business officers through ASU’s internal annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and mid-year CFO financial review processes. You contribute to critical external budget production and reporting, preparing key deliverables throughout the fiscal year for the Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), Joint Legislative Budget Committee (JLBC), and Governor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting (OSPB). This position may report to the Director, Budget Planning and Operations (BPO) or to a senior subordinate to the Director as functionally required. This role provides an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, currently set at 60% in-office and 40% remote. Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU Office of Planning and Budget will not be a sponsor for this position.
