A Day in the LifeThe Associate Inventory Analyst supports inventory accuracy, availability, and control across the supply chain by monitoring stock levels, analyzing inventory trends, and helping resolve discrepancies. This role works closely with operations, planning, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment, optimize inventory performance, and maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies. The Associate Inventory Analyst also assists with reporting, data validation, and process improvements to help minimize excess inventory, reduce shortages, and support efficient business operations.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods).
  • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.
  • Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct .
  • Conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
  • Requires a Bachelor degree

  • Basic Knowledge with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge of inventory planning methodologies (EOQ, safety stock, min/max, ABC analysis)

  • Understanding of supply chain processes (procurement, production planning, logistics)
  • Ability to analyze excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory and recommend corrective actions
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure
  • Experience in regulated or manufacturing environments (e.g., medical devices, pharma)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
