Job description

BioPhase Solutions specializes in recruiting top talented professionals for Southern California's Scientific community. We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Associate to work for a leading Orange County area biotechnology company.

Pay Rate: $24-30/hour
Summary:
Perform daily Supply Chain duties such as purchase, receive, store and ship GMP and non-GMP materials as required to support general office needs, laboratory, and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Order, receive, store and ship laboratory, manufacturing, office and other general supplies while maintaining the Supply Chain areas in a neat orderly fashion, working efficiently and following all safety and quality procedures throughout the process.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Laboratory, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel to ensure the proper documentation is received and approved in order to process orders, receive and/or release materials.
  • Maintain required level of chain of custody/documentation when transferring material to recipients to ensure traceability and compliance with specifications and procedures.
  • Enter purchasing transactions and material inventory into an electronic purchasing and inventory database. Maintain paper records as required by procedure.
  • Track lead times and delivery dates. Manage communications with all involved parties (i.e. requestor, relevant management, etc.)
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation as required ensuring accurate counts of all inventory items.
  • Ensure all items received are accurately accounted for and that no materials with any observed signs of damage are accepted.
  • Work closely with functional managers to ensure materials ordered meet the Company's quality and budgetary standards.
  • Maintain workspace cleanliness by adhering to the 5S method of organization.
  • Abide by safe work practices and adhere to general safety rules, performing all duties in a safe manner and never placing yourself or those around you in an unsafe condition. Report all unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-4+ years of industry related work experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of the use of ERP systems, supplier forecasting, supply chain processes and material flow.
  • Knowledge of the technical, GMP, and FDA requirements for the manufacturing of aseptic parenteral products.
  • Knowledge of job related techniques and principles with an ability to work on routine assignments independently, requiring instructions and close supervision on new assignments.
