Job description

Structural Steel CAD Detailer

Location: Morrisville, PA

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Type: Direct

We are searching for an experienced Structural Steel CAD Detailer to join our structural fabrication company that specializes in Railroad, transportation, and other large fabrication work. Our work includes structural steel, miscellaneous metals, rail stations, signal bridges, catenary structures, canopies, and highway sign structures.

The Structural Steel CAD Detailer will be responsible for detailing a wide range of fabrication work from Structural Steel, Simple Bridge, Heavy Structural, Railroad Catenary and related Structures, Sub‐Stations, Railings, and misc. Carbon, Stainless and Aluminum fabrications.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare drawings for fabrication using AutoCAD and/or other design software
  • Manage jobs from original concept drawings through release to the shop for fabrication
  • Read and edit blueprints and AutoCAD drawings
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
  • Experience in the Metal Fabrication industry as a Structural Detailer
    • Steel Fabrication Knowledge
  • Ability to read blueprints and AutoCAD drawings
  • Experience using either AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Tekla.
    • Experience with more than one of these software is a plus
  • Works well in both a team environment and independently
  • Self‐motivated and an excellent work ethic
  • Experience working with Bill of Materials
  • Strong Math and Communication skills
  • Basic Computer Proficiency is required, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of AISC standards and industry code
  • Engineering or Technical College Education (Associates Degree)
