Title of the Position: Associate Attorney

Pappas Hayden Westberg & Jackson PC, a creditor’s rights and civil litigation law firm based in Overland Park, KS, is seeking an attorney licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and/or Colorado. The ideal candidate will have 0-3 years of litigation experience.

Expectations of this position include:
  • Ability to draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents as necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highvolume role (including keeping up with email and voicemail)
  • Ability to work closely with support staff and other attorneys to maximize efficiency
  • Ability to communicate with clients, opposing attorneys and pro se litigants in a professional and respectful manner
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment related to case progress and resolution
  • Ability to make weekly court appearances (including traveling) for dockets, motion hearings and trial
  • Performing all other duties and projects assigned by partners
  • The position requires office hours of 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Salary is commensurate with experience. Employees eligible for firm benefits receive a package which includes medical, 401k, paid holidays, paid time off, mileage reimbursement, bar membership, and CLE fees.
