JOB SUMMARY:

An industry leader in premium Black Angus beef seeks a motivated individual looking for an opportunity to put his or her accounting experience to use in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for processing cattle payments, daily USDA market reporting, freight payable processing and general accounts payable processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor daily cash transactions and approve transfers
  • Process weekly operations expense journal entries
  • Analyze and process credit card receipt transactions
  • Complete and evaluate monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Complete weekly CAPEX spending analysis
  • Maintain fixed asset subledger and all fixed asset transactions
  • Serve as backup for other accounting positions
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Associates degree required or equivalent experience, bachelor's preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible basic accounting experience.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

4. Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
