Purchasing Technology Analyst

The Purchasing Technology Analyst supports global purchasing and supply chain teams by improving digital tools, coordinating supplier and vendor partnership activities, and helping streamline workflows that increase efficiency, data accuracy, and user adoption. This role partners closely with purchasing, merchandising, client support, supply chain and tech to support system enhancements, troubleshoot data/content issues, and coordinate promotional and partnership assets.

Duties:

  • Coordinate supplier/vendor partnership activities and related promotional support.
  • Support purchasing technology tools, documentation, records, and supplier engagement materials.
  • Assist with system, workflow, reporting, and user adoption improvements.
  • Support process improvement, data accuracy, and small-scale automation efforts.
  • Coordinate vendor rebates, supplier promotions, banner/content requests, and related merchandising support including review of catalog images meeting standards.
  • Provide reporting, troubleshooting, and special project support as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain promotional calendars, campaign timelines, supplier records, process guides, and shared partner documentation to support accurate execution and follow-through.
  • Track vendor promotional programs, instant rebates, banner/content requests, product or category campaign needs, and related asset delivery.
  • Review supplier, product, and campaign images for quality and standards compliance; use AI tools, scripts, or defined workflows to adjust images for alignment with Catalog image standards.
  • Collect user feedback, document business requirements, assist with testing, and validate outputs for purchasing tools, reports, forms, and workflow enhancements.
  • Create and develop reporting, content visibility, or data consistency issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate internal teams.
  • Partner with purchasing, merchandising, client support, supply chain, product marketing, and technology teams to support supplier programs and process improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining practical workflow solutions, dashboards, forms, reports, and small-scale automations that reduce manual work and improve data consistency.
  • Compile purchasing data, supplier activity, campaign information, rebate details, KPI summaries, and operational reporting for review.
  • Maintain accurate information across SAP/ERP tools, e-commerce platforms, partner data sources, supplier records, and shared team platforms.
  • Identify process gaps, handoff issues, and documentation needs that could improve efficiency, accuracy, or user adoption.
  • Support post-campaign, supplier program, or project reviews by summarizing outcomes, issues, and lessons learned.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree and technical certification, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in business technology, data analytics, e-commerce, merchandising, digital marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting e-commerce, merchandising, digital tools, business systems, vendor programs, or operational technology.
  • Experience coordinating supplier, vendor, promotional, rebate, campaign, or partner-facing activities preferred.
  • Experience working with, supporting, or learning business systems such as SAP/ERP tools, e-commerce platforms, reporting tools, shared documentation platforms, or workflow solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Strong project management, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to review data, identify issues, summarize findings, and support decision-making.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and related collaboration or reporting tools.
  • Working understanding of low-code tools, dashboards, forms, workflow automation, or reporting platforms such as Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools; direct ownership is not required.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems, purchasing systems, e-commerce platforms, or supplier data sources, with the ability to research transactions and support workflow questions.

Preferred Skills:

  • General understanding of user experience, interface design, web content, tableau, reporting and related technologies from prior exposure, coursework, project work, or hands-on support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data, workflow, content, and record consistency issues across systems and shared files.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and service orientation.
  • Knowledge of vendor promotions, instant rebates, promotional calendars, digital campaign assets, or supplier marketing programs.
