Position Description
If you are just beginning your career, a young professional with some work experience or someone more experienced who would like to make a career change, this could be the position for you! We are seeking a self-driven individual with a strong interest in interior design trends and great sense of style to join our Showroom Sales Training program. You'll learn the ins and outs of the decorative plumbing and fixture business, develop a keen understanding of our operations, and hone the skills needed to exceed customer expectations through superior service and product and industry knowledge.
You'll spend time in different parts of our branch to see how we work and what makes our company successful. You'll shadow and learn from experienced members of our showroom team. And you'll be trained on the leading bath and kitchen products we offer through meetings with representatives from top manufacturers as well as online learning.
This is a full-time position based initially in Manchester, NH as you train, with hours that may include evenings and/or weekends. Ultimately, you'll be placed in a sales role in a showroom in the southern part of New Hampshire or in Concord, NH where you'll earn a base salary with a quarterly commission opportunity. As soon as you demonstrate sales proficiency, you'll be promoted to �senior� status which provides a monthly commission opportunity along with other financial incentives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge and expertise on all the products and brands displayed in the store as well as industry trends.
  • Learn and practice excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Become proficient with the company's order entry and inventory system.
  • Generate sales by meeting with and selling to Ultimate Bath Store customers: plumbing contractors, general contractors, builders & remodelers, designers, architects, homeowners.
  • Promptly prepare and distribute quotes to all involved in a project (homeowner, contractor, etc.)
  • Learn Specbook software; prepare and maintain Specbooks for customers.
  • Follow up on all quotes in a timely manner until a sales order is closed or rejected.
  • Work collaboratively with the contractor/builder/etc. to help ensure the project runs smoothly and on time.
  • Proactively keep the customer apprised of the status of their order.
  • Be mindful of the store's sales goals, profit goals, and the products that can best help achieve them.
  • Participate in meetings, marketing events and training events, both live and virtual, offered by the company and/or product vendors.
