Job Summary
The Field Marketing Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRS in a clean and concise manner across the local market area, while consistently portraying a positive representation of their local branch. The Field Marketing Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and indirect sales strategies that align with the goals of our sales and leadership teams.

Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a satisfactory level. The requirements listed below are a representation of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Ability to effectively communicate with TRS customer base, including but not limited to food service business operators and owners
  • Ability to navigate company software & technology to support customer needs and position requirements
  • Ability to plan efficient travel routes to meet with local business customers on recurring basis
  • Increase local branch sales by converting new prospects into active customers and re-engaging inactive and lapsed customers into regular purchasers with TRS
  • Communicate pertinent information to sales team at local branch through established communication methods
  • Communicate customer buying trends and competitor information to local store by providing relevant competitor invoices
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of available products
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing / sales
  • Experience using MS Office Suite to maintain business-to-business relationships
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education
This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

  • Must possess reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
