Job description

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Everflow is a SaaS Partner Marketing platform for managing and scaling revenue from affiliates, partnerships, and marketing channels.

Founded in 2016 by industry veterans, we have a team distributed across the NAM and EMEA regions.

Weโ€™re a bootstrapped and profitable company (over $30M ARR) that has grown through supporting happy customers that refer business to us and create word-of-mouth excitement. Weโ€™re the go-to platform for brands, agencies, and networks, with 1,100+ customers including top brands, agencies and networ ks

About the role

As a Senior SDET, you are the technical authority for quality on our team. You will lead the development and implementation of our long-term automation roadmap, ensuring our testing ecosystem is scalable and robust. You will champion a developer-first mindset, treating test code with the same rigor and architectural standards as production code.

You will remain handsโ€‘on while also supervising the quality of contributions from the wider QA team, ensuring that our automation across API, integration, and UI, remain clean, efficient, and reliable.

What you'll do
  • Quality Ownership: Take full ownership of the QA process! Partner with developers to improve system testability and ensure quality is built into every stage of the lifecycle, from requirement definition through production validation.
  • Roadmap & Strategy: Own the implementation of our technical roadmap for the QA department including identifying tool gaps and researching new technologies.
  • Technical Mentorship: Act as a Lead Reviewer for the QA team, establishing coding standards, and conducting rigorous PR reviews to elevate the entire teamโ€™s coding proficiency.
  • CI/CD Quality Strategy: Operate and enforce quality gates within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast feedback, high signal tests, and clear release readiness criteria.
  • API & Service Testing: Design and implement automated testing at the API and service layer, validating data integrity, business logic, and system interactions across microservices.
  • Mocks & Test Isolation: Build and maintain mock services and test doubles (e.g., WireMock or equivalent) to enable deterministic, isolated testing independent of thirdโ€‘party systems.
  • Tooling Innovation: Evaluate and implement AIโ€‘augmented testing practices, including selfโ€‘healing scripts to reduce maintenance, automated gap analysis to ensure coverage, Synthetic Data Generation and Predictive Test Prioritization as examples.
Qualifications
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to work with a QA technical roadmap and execute on it effectively.
  • Developer Mindset: You treat test code as a firstโ€‘class citizen. You have proficiency in at least one OO language (Java, Python, or C#) and modern frontend tech (JS/TS).
  • Automation Mastery: Deep experience designing automation across API, integration, and UI layers, with strong expertise in Playwright and Robot Framework.
  • Analytical Oversight: A "critical eye" for identifying gaps in othersโ€™ test plans and the ability to mentor peers on improving their technical approach.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in an SDET or Automation role, with clear experience in a Senior or Lead capacity.
  • Technical Stack: Mastery of Playwright and Robot Framework.
  • Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with GCP, Kubernetes, and Microservices architecture.
  • Education: Computer Science degree or equivalent professional experience.
Compensation Package:

Base Salary: $110,000 - $120,000
Bonus Potential

  • Employer Covered Medical and Vision Insurance
  • Unlimited PTO and paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave for putting your family first
  • Startupโ€‘like environment, without the constant rush to raise the next round of funding
  • A very collaborative team and culture
  • Education, gym, and equipment stipend
