Senior Developer – Security Master Initiative

Clearwater Analytics is seeking a Senior Developer to join its Security Master initiative, supporting our OMS/PMS product line and an integrated Shared Security Master platform. This role focuses on building and improving security master systems that support millions of daily trade and order transactions as well as trillions of dollars in investment reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Developing quality software that is used by some of the world's largest technology firms, fixed income asset managers, and custodian banks.
  • Participate in Agile meetings to contribute to development strategies and product roadmap.
  • Own critical processes that are highly available and scalable.
  • Produce tremendous feature enhancements and react quickly to emerging technologies.
  • Encourage collaboration and stimulate creativity.
  • Help mentor entry‑level developers.
  • Contribute to design and architectural decisions.
  • Provide leadership and expertise to our ever‑growing workforce.
  • Test and validate in development and production code that is owned, deployed, and monitored.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional experience with Java and SQL.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Background in SDLC & Agile practices.
  • Experience in monitoring production systems.
  • Experience working with messaging systems such as Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, or SQS/SNS.
Desired Experience or Skills
  • Ability to build scalable backend services (Microservices, polyglot storage, messaging systems, data processing pipelines).
  • Possess strong analytical skills, with excellent problem‑solving abilities in the face of ambiguity.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to contribute to software design documentation, presentations, sequence diagrams, and present complex technical designs in a concise manner.
  • Professional experience in building distributed software systems, specializing in big data and NoSQL database technologies (Hadoop, Spark, DynamoDB, HBase, Hive, Cassandra, Vertica).
  • Ability to work with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Pay Range and Benefits

$129,200 – $174,173 is the specified pay range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job‑related qualifications/skills, and geographic location. For this role, benefits include:
