USBFS Alternative Investment (AI) group is seeking an Associate Software Engineer (.NET) who is a self-starter, creative thinker, and desires the challenge of working on, and solving, complex challenges in a dynamic business environment. This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Participates in the technical design of application systems. Develops and implements application systems by participating through the software development lifecycle from inception to delivery and beyond. The role is high touch position with a notable amount of collaboration across product teams and stakeholders to define requirements and understand how they fit into the end objective.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining software products

  • Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code

  • Performs analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements

  • Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards

  • Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices

  • Exhibits relentless focus on software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards

  • Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • 1+ years of relevant software engineering experience

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong C#, Java, and Python programming skills

  • Full stack development

  • Good communication skills and language fluency

  • MS SQL database (writing functions, stored procedures, and performance tuning)

  • Writing and running unit tests

  • .NET Core or .NET Standard experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • CI/CD knowledge

  • Cloud development experience (Kubernetes and docker)

  • Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices, and Enterprise Application Integration

  • React.js front-end experience is nice to have

Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
