Job description

Overview
Seeking a Structural Engineer to design steel racking systems used in industrial and warehouse environments. This role supports project delivery through safe, accurate, and cost-effective structural design. The position works closely with internal teams to bring complex systems from concept through fabrication and installation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design steel racking systems including Tuberacks, Drive-In, Cantilever, Pushback, and Pallet Flow
  • Develop structural solutions that meet project requirements, codes, and safety standards
  • Perform structural analysis using industry software for frames, beams, bracing, mezzanines, and platforms
  • Review and validate structural drawings for accuracy and completeness
  • Partner with Project Managers and Design teams to align on requirements and timelines
  • Communicate engineering requirements clearly across cross-functional teams
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to design innovation
  • Uphold safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or 3-5 years of structural engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of structural design codes including IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, ASCE 7, and AISI
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Experience

  • Background in steel racking or material handling systems
  • PE license in the United States
  • Experience with steel racking design software
  • Prior leadership or project ownership experience
