Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Programs, sets up, and operates CNC machinery to manufacture complex precision parts for drilling and geotechnical equipment, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAM software

  • Perform complex setups, including fixturing, tooling selection, and offsets

  • Machine close-tolerance parts from steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys

  • Inspect finished parts to blueprint specifications

  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions

  • Mentor CNC Operators and Assistants

  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or GED

  • 3+ years CNC machining experience

  • Proficiency in G-code programming

  • Ability to work to tight tolerances (±0.001")

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology

  • CAM software experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
