In this role, you will work closely with customers, R&D, COE, Sales, and Marketing in a highly crossfunctional and international environment. You will apply deep V93000 platform expertise, strong test engineering fundamentals, and solid software skills to guide customers through complex test challenges from concept to production.

This position is well suited for a senior engineer with strong customer presence, who thrives in fastchanging environments, demonstrates ownership, and can translate complex technical requirements into reliable, scalable test solutions.

You will be viewed as a trusted technical advisor by customers and a technical role model within the AE organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test methods and tooling (Java / C++) for digital and mixedsignal devices on the Advantest V93000 (93k) platform, with a strong focus on ST7 ST8 transition.
  • Support customers in debugging and resolving SmarTest software and systemlevel issues across engineering and production environments.
  • Clearly document and communicate complex test concepts through technical documentation and customerfacing presentations.
  • Train customers on new software and hardware capabilities released by R&D and Advantest Application Development Centers.
  • Collaborate closely with COE, R&D, and global SAE teams to translate customer requirements into robust solutions for highpower and highspeed applications.
  • Actively represent Advantest's technical strengths, solution positioning, and roadmap direction in customer engagements.
  • Support presales and NPI activities, including customer presentations, benchmark projects, requirement analysis, and competitive evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of handson experience with the Advantest V93000 platform.
  • Solid understanding of wafer sort methodologies, KGD, and production test flows.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, scripts(Python/Perl) and C/C++.
  • Understanding of test quality metrics such as correlation, CP, CPK, and related data analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated personal leadership, ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven project execution and coordination skills.
  • Experience or exposure to presales activities or technical customer leadership.
  • Working knowledge of MBIST, Logic BIST, Scan over PCIe, eFuse, iJTAG.

Preferred:

  • Handson experience with SmarTest 8, preferably one year or more.
  • Strong expertise in 93k digital testing, including vector debug, shmoo analysis, pin margining, and timing debug.
  • Experience writing testtimeefficient programs for highvolume production.
  • Familiarity with multicore CPU / AI / server device test methodologies.
  • Experience with highpower device testing, including power delivery networks and related challenges.
  • Expectation of some travel if requested (5-10%).
