We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Inside Sales Application Engineer to support our outside sales team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering accurate technical documentation, pricing, and product expertise for new equipment and engineered systems. You won't just be filling orders-you'll be contributing to solutions that reduce downtime, enhance system performance, and serve the long-term success of our customers.

What You'll Do
As an Inside Sales Application Engineer, your focus will be on enabling sales success through precision, technical support, and proactive coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with outside sales to generate accurate and competitive technical proposals
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and application needs
  • Prepare detailed submittals, quotations, and order documents
  • Source and coordinate quotes from vendors for engineered products
  • Provide product data, installation guidance, and application knowledge to internal teams
  • Maintain communication across engineering, operations, and procurement to meet deadlines
  • Support order entry, invoicing, and document control for accuracy and efficiency
  • Deliver value-added solutions that drive long-term cost-of-ownership benefits for our customers

Skills & Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); CAD familiarity is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Collaborative mindset with a customer-service orientation
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Preferred:
  • Experience in inside sales, applications engineering, or technical support
  • Familiarity with pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems
  • Exposure to industrial, municipal, or construction project environments
  • Experience working with ERP or quoting/scheduling software
