Job description

Position: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)Reports to: Sr. Quality Assurance Manager, DigitalRole SummaryWe're looking for an SDET to design and build automated testing that improves the quality and reliability of our digital products. You'll work across front-end and API testing, convert manual test cases into automation, and collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams throughout the sprint cycle.Key Responsibilities (required)Convert manual test cases into effective automated scenarios within existing automation frameworksBuild and maintain automated tests for front-end features and back-end APIsCreate test plans, open and track bugs, and support unit, feature, regression, smoke, and risk-based testingMonitor code coverage and identify gaps in test coverageShare testing results and recommendations—including testing concerns and risks—clearly with team members and leadershipRequired Qualifications (required)Hands-on experience building automation for front-end and API testingProficiency with JavaScript; working knowledge of JSON, YAML, and SQLExperience with relational databases and writing database queriesFamiliarity with core testing paradigms: test planning, bug reporting, unit, feature, regression, smoke, and risk-based testing, and code coverageComfortable working in Agile/Scrum sprint cyclesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present results and recommendations to both peers and upper managementAbility to collaborate effectively across development, QA, and product teamsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesTools & Technologies (required)Test automation: PlaywrightAPI testing: PostmanVersion control & CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions, workflowsContainerization: DockerSecurity scanning: Snyk, WizProject management: JiraLevel and years of experience: 5-7 years as a QA Lead with automation.Education requirement or explicit equivalent-experience waiver: BS in related field or previous professional work experience.General Compensation DisclosureThe pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Camping World, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors stated.
