Job description

Currently looking for Nuclear Medicine Technologists to fill openings with a Hospital facility located outside of Hobbs, New Mexico. Interested candidates have a minimum of 2 years of experience, have an ARRT registry, and have or be eligible to obtain the New Mexico State Licensure. This is a Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm shift. New Grads are welcome to apply! Sign-on bonus is offered!

Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

  • The Nuclear Medicine Technologist uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases under the supervision of a physician.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals, administer them to patients, and use imaging devices to record the distribution within a patient's body, including nuclear cardiology.
  • Knowledge includes the physical sciences, effects of radiation exposure, radiation procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, computer applications, and imaging techniques.
  • While working with radioactive material, nuclear medicine technologists are responsible for safety precautions, to ensure patients and workers are only exposed to the necessary amount of radiation.
  • Must be able to work well and communicate with all peers, providers, ER, and inpatient staff on a routine basis.
  • Scheduling patients, performing and processing all nuclear procedures, answering phones, scanning, faxing, burning discs, maintaining detailed record keeping, and reporting to ensure optimal care and treatment to our patients.
  • Must possess ethical judgment, integrity, honesty, dependability, accountability, manage time effectively, and sometimes work under stressful conditions
  • Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm shift


Requirements of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

  • 2 years of experience is preferred
  • Open to New Grads!
  • An associate's or a bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology required
  • BLS certification
  • Licensure/Certification- Current ARRT (N), or ARRT (CT), or (NMTCB), or (PET)(NMTCB)
  • New Mexico State License Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
