Brief Job Overview

We're looking for aย results-oriented Salesforce Product Ownerย to drive the strategic direction of our Salesforce platform. This role acts as a crucial link between business needs and technical teams, translating priorities into actionable work. By collaborating with stakeholders and global teams, including those in India, you'll manage the product roadmap, prioritize the backlog, and ensure the platform delivers measurable business outcomes and high user adoption.

This is a cross-functional leadership role with a functional reporting line to the Director of Digital Experience Platform and a direct reporting line to the Associate Director of Customer Experience โ€“ India. Ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with hands-on experience managing Salesforce in a complex enterprise environment, thriving in a dynamic and collaborative setting.

The Salesforce Product Owner has the following responsibilities:ย 

Product Ownership & Strategy:ย 

  • Define and evolve the strategic vision and roadmap for the Salesforce platform in alignment with enterprise goals and the USP360 program.
  • Translate business requirements into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on business impact, customer value, and cross-regional needs.
  • Serve as a platform evangelist, educating internal teams on Salesforce capabilities and fostering a user-centric culture.

ย Program & Project Management:ย 

  • Lead strategic project governanceย by partnering with the IT Project Manager to proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage complex dependencies, and ensure project timelines align with overarching business goals.
  • Champion strategic alignmentย across all business units (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.) by ensuring a shared understanding of project scope, priorities, and the tangible business value of each initiative
  • Co-lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

ย 

  • Act as a strategic partner to global business leaders (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.), identifying opportunities to improve stakeholder engagement through the platform.
  • Maintain clear communication across time zones, ensuring visibility of priorities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate regularly with all salesforces global user groups to ensure local adoptions and benefit realization

  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, and architects to build scalable and sustainable solutions.

  • Define, track, and report on KPIs for platform usage, adoption, and business impact.

Who is USP Looking For?

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. PMP certification and or masterโ€™s degree is a plus.
  • 7+ yearsย of experience inย CRM product ownershipย orย program management, specifically withย Salesforce.
  • Proven abilityย to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience withย SDLC methodologiesย with agile and tools such asย Jira.
  • Experienceย working in life sciences or other regulated enterprise environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in US hours.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud; strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and data model.
  • Experience with Pardot, Marketo, and Salesforce Data Cloud preferred.
  • Proven leadership in Agile/Scrum as a Product Owner, with strong backlog management and roadmap planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
  • Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Platform App Builder, Business Analyst) and Agile/Product Owner certifications (e.g., CSPO) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with system integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica) and third-party Salesforce apps.
