Position Summary
Redaptive is seeking a driven Associate Sales Rep to own a portfolio of early- and mid-stage sales opportunities within our enterprise Energy-as-a-Service pipeline. This role goes beyond support work - you'll independently qualify inbound opportunities, build financial and energy-savings business cases for prospects, and manage deals through key stages of the sales cycle in close partnership with Sales Executives.
Candidates with a finance background bring valuable skill in evaluating deal economics; candidates with a sales background bring valuable skill in running a deal cycle end to end. Either path is a strong fit.
You'll work directly with the Director of Sales and the full Direct Sales team, plus cross-functional partners in legal, finance, and sales operations. This role has real workstream ownership - you'll be expected to work most tasks independently, exercise judgment on routine deal decisions, and mentor newer Sales Associates as you build toward a quota-carrying Sales Executive role.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Qualify inbound and pipeline opportunities against Redaptive's ideal customer profile, and prioritize which deals warrant Sales Executive time.
  • Build financial and energy-savings business cases for prospective customers, translating utility data and project economics into a clear value proposition.
  • Own full workstreams within active deals: lead deal desk and legal submissions, negotiate routine terms, and drive approvals to close without heavy oversight.
  • Independently manage a portion of the team's pipeline in Salesforce - accurate stages, close dates, next steps, and proposal status - and flag stalled deals before they become a problem.
  • Prepare pipeline reporting and forecast inputs for leadership reviews, including deal-by-deal status rollups and risk commentary.
  • Partner with legal, finance, and sales operations on contract routing, credit checks, and other cross-functional deal requirements, resolving routine issues independently.
  • Lead account transition and onboarding work (e.g., ownership handoffs, referral partner coordination) as accounts move between Sales Executives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to team playbooks and documentation, and mentor newer Sales Associates on deal support best practices.
  • Provide general support to the Director of Sales and team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Duty
Deal qualification & financial business case development - 30%
Deal execution & negotiation support - 25%
Pipeline ownership, reporting & forecasting - 25%
Process improvement & mentoring - 20%
Required Abilities and Skills
  • Strong financial or analytical acumen - comfortable evaluating deal economics, ROI, and energy-savings calculations, or equivalent sales-cycle experience.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills - able to represent Redaptive independently to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM; strong Excel/Sheets skills for financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Resourceful and proactive - able to own routine decisions and full workstreams with minimal oversight.
  • Team player who can mentor newer Sales Associates while continuing to build expertise in enterprise sales and deal structuring.
  • Ability to handle sensitive customer and contract information with discretion.

Education and Experience
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in finance or sales; experience evaluating deal economics or managing a sales pipeline is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platform strongly preferred.

The Perks!
  • Annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
  • Equity plan participation
  • Company-subsidized benefits: medical, dental, vision, life insurance

  • Flexible Time Off
